No words... 5/5
Opening with some swift keyboard runs and with bass lines that you’d hear out of a Primal Scream album, Alternative/experimental four piece unit Civil Pilots who are hailing from Brookfield, CT are one band who have left a track which leaves the listener – and most definitely me – wanting more.
As stated, it opens with some swift Keyboard runs that combine with one hell of an epic indie influenced bass line from Nick Hernandez before the drums slowly creep in only to be followed with a progressive styled guitar picking pattern that Johnny Marr could have thought up before the haunting, quiet whisper of vocalist Ben Morgan settles in. It’s hard to write about this piece of music, there’s so much yet so little to write, and the beauty of the whole track is just exquisite.
Very few band out there have left me with nothing to write, and mostly because they possess a sense of magic to keep your hairs on end and wanting more. Civil Pilots are easily one of those bands.
