A Groove of Delight - 4/5
A rough demo by Washington four piece band ‘Fallen Traitors’ is something I can only describe as a B-side of a Black Sabbath Song being raped by Machine Head. What I mean by that is that, yes, the offspring of that misfortunate event has created yet another demo which makes you ponder whether the hell if it is actually a demo or not...
It opens up with a doom riff that Tony Iommi could potentially dream up in his sleep before a rather bouncy thrash riff from vocalist Darius Heath who swaps lead vocals for guitar for this song enters the scene and Gabe Valdez providing the harsh vocals roar over the music in a menacing growl over ferocious drumming by, all done by the same guy, before it all finally slows down for a cleanly played interlude which doesn’t last long before exploding once again into the original thrash riff. In the studio, this track is sure to garner some fans, but when played live I can only expect carnage, mayhem and a mosh pit heaven. If this is just the one track, I cannot wait to hear other releases by this band.
